The Miz doesn’t care if fans don’t think he deserves to win the WWE Championship. Shortly after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at Eliminator Chamber, he cut a brilliant promo.
Moments after he pinned Drew McIntyre to lift the WWE title, The Miz delivered a message to his critics and those who claimed he doesn’t deserve the victory. The Awesome One, now a two-time WWE Champion was interviewed by Sarah Schreiber after the show but he quickly dismissed her and took the camera in his own hands.
He cut a straight-down-the-lens backstage promo and ripped into his online critics who were complaining about the title change. Given his recent losing form, the newly-crowned champion is aware how upset his fans are about it. WWE shared a video of his fan address on Twitter.
In the video, Miz says “I told you so” as he adds that “to all those who claimed that I wasn’t thinking on their level, I am a master strategist”. He added that he is a visionary more than anyone else in the entire WWE. “I just didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through the whole WWE Universe. And couldn’t care less if people are saying on the internet that Miz doesn’t deserve to be WWE champion. Cry, go ahead and cry, and keep on doing it because that is the fuel that lights my fire. I am your WWE Champion, whether you like it or not,” he went on.
Miz also spoke about the Angry Miz Girl. He said that there was one like that ten years ago and he hopes that there are millions of Angry Miz Girls here, sobbing, weeping, wishing that Drew McIntyre was this time’s WWE Champion. He added that he is content being awesome.
The Miz ended his promo with a wink and said that he’ll see his fans at WrestleMania, or at Monday Night RAW because as a champion he can do whatever the hell he wants.
